SecureStep Flooring Installation Guide

Pre-Installation

At SecureStep Flooring, we believe the best projects start with clear communication and simple expectations.

On the first day of installation, your installation team will arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. The first part of the day will be spent confirming materials and reviewing the scope of work. We ask that you are on-site the first morning to approve materials and answer any questions your lead installer may have.

Your lead installer will communicate daily start times with you directly throughout the project. We understand every household is different and will do our best to accommodate reasonable scheduling preferences when possible.

Customer Responsibilities

While the SecureStep Flooring team takes every precaution to protect your home, tile and wood floor demolition can be a dusty and noisy process. We strongly recommend that the workspace be cleared of furniture, wall décor, and valuables before installation begins.

If you are unable to move these items yourself, please notify us in advance. We can recommend trusted moving or cleaning services if needed.

Despite best efforts to control dust, some residual dust is unavoidable during demolition. SecureStep Flooring can also refer a professional cleaning company for post-installation cleaning upon request.

Demolition (Tile or Wood Flooring)

Empty vs. Occupied Installations

SecureStep Flooring offers installations on an “Empty” or “Occupied” basis.

An Empty installation means the workspace is fully cleared and ready for work. This typically applies to new construction or areas where all furniture and personal belongings have been removed prior to installation.

An Occupied installation means our team will assist with moving furniture. In this case, we ask that you prepare the space by removing bedding, clearing closet floors, and removing small items, décor, and breakables from tables and surfaces.

Please note that our team is unable to move certain items, including electronics, pool tables, aquariums, and adjustable or specialty beds.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and efficient workspace.

Completion & Walk-Through

Once installation is complete, we ask that you walk the project with your lead installer. This allows you to review the work and address any questions or concerns at that time.

After the walk-through, you will be asked to sign off on the completion and satisfaction of your project. This does not mean we won’t assist you if an issue arises in the future—your satisfaction remains our priority.

The remaining balance is due upon completion. Your installer will provide an invoice and collect payment. If you plan to pay by credit card, please notify us in advance so arrangements can be made.

Thank you for choosing SecureStep Flooring. We appreciate your trust and are committed to providing a smooth, professional, and stress-free flooring experience.
