What to Expect on Installation Day with SecureStep Flooring

Installing new flooring is an exciting upgrade for your home, and at SecureStep Flooring, we believe the process should be just as smooth as the final result. One of the best ways to ensure a stress-free experience is knowing exactly what to expect before installation day arrives.

Arrival & First Day Expectations

On the first day of installation, our professional team will arrive between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. The morning begins with confirming materials, reviewing the scope of work, and answering any last-minute questions. We ask that a homeowner be present the first morning to approve materials and help us get started efficiently.

Your lead installer will communicate daily start times moving forward and keep you informed throughout the project.

Preparing Your Home

If your project involves tile or wood demolition, it’s important to understand that demolition can be dusty and noisy. While our team takes precautions to protect your home, we strongly recommend removing furniture, wall décor, and valuables from the workspace ahead of time.

If you’re unable to move items on your own, let us know in advance. We can recommend trusted moving or professional cleaning services if needed.

Empty vs. Occupied Installations

At SecureStep Flooring, installations are handled as either “empty” or “occupied.”

An empty installation means the workspace is completely cleared and ready for work, which is common for new construction or fully prepared rooms.

An occupied installation means our team will assist with moving furniture. In this case, we ask homeowners to remove bedding, clear closet floors, and move small items, décor, and breakables ahead of time. For safety reasons, our team is unable to move electronics, pool tables, aquariums, or adjustable beds.

Project Completion & Walk-Through

Once installation is complete, you’ll walk through the project with your lead installer. This allows you to review the finished work, ask questions, and address any concerns. After the walk-through, you’ll be asked to sign off on the project, confirming your satisfaction.

The remaining balance is due at completion. Your installer will provide an invoice and collect payment. If you plan to pay by credit card, please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements.

A Stress-Free Flooring Experience

At SecureStep Flooring, our goal is to deliver high-quality craftsmanship while making the entire process simple, transparent, and stress-free. From your first consultation to the final walk-through, we’re committed to clear communication and professional service every step of the way.
